G10 Tech Class #16

If you need some time to finish the last details of your products from Project 1 to turn them in today, please work on the first thing today (20 min aprox).

At 11.10m we will begin with Project 2: Digitally Enhanced Tour of WA

We will work on making a 3D map of the school to start. Please take a look at these:
Let's start thinking about the following for our Project 2:
  • who would the audience be?
  • what would they expect to get from the tour?
  • what stops/places are we looking into listing in our tour?
  • why?
  • what are the highlights of WA that you think should be included in the tour?

Please post your answers to this Form.

The dynamic of the project would be the following:

  • Regroup for this project with someone who you haven't work with in Project 1.
  • decide where / how will we identify the stops needed for the Tour?
  • assign one stop per group
  • create a map of the school using Google SketchUp
  • have a look at the K-12 Education SketchUp Gallery
  • create a storyboard and script of what your video/stop will be about
  • choose the application/tool that you think best suits your needs: website, video, animation, voicethread, etc
  • shoot video, take pics, conduct interviews, etc to get the content needed and synthesize it digitally
  • out all links/postings together
  • upload the product (movie, animation, etc)
  • get an URL for it
  • use a QR Code to identify the stop
  • fully test QR codes, links, postings, videos, etc
  • print and laminate a big QR code for your tour stop (your names on the back)
  • install QR codes @ tour stops
